i am 55 yrs OLD.I live in northeast tennessee.I was in the navy from 1961-1974.currently work for the U.S.Postal.owned my first bike in hawaii in 64.it was a 650 triumph T110.my next one was a yamaha 250 exciter that 1 bought to help lower my fuel bill during the so called "oil crisis".I lived in corpus christi texas at the time and could ride all year.I rode the 250 to tenn. in early 1981 (1200 miles).I couldn't walk good for 2 or 3 days because i was so stiff.the temp.never got above 40 the whole trip and i about froze.It was snowing when i got here.I bought my savage in july of this year and have put about 1200 miles on it.it is the most dependable bike i have ever owned.the yamaha was dependable also.the triumph was vary fast but was always shaking apart.I carried wrenches with me and also valve covers.I lost three valve covers within 15 minutes one time.Well suppers ready so i've got to go.ya'll ride safe ya hear?
